Thank you to the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs for the grant award!  The Town of Kirklin is awarded $700,000 for improvements to the town’s wastewater treatment plant and collection system. The wastewater treatment plant improvements include new wet weather storage facilities, a new mechanical fine screen and a new influent pump station. AED Donation to the Kirklin Police Department

7/19/2023

The Kirklin Police Department would like to send a big THANK YOU to Kenny Kalpesh for donating two AED's to our police department. An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is a sophisticated, easy-to-use medical device used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. They analyze the heart's rhythym and, if needed, can produce an electrical shock to the heart to help re-establish a normal rhythym again. They are truly life-saving devices and the Town and KPD truly appreciates his generous donation!

Downtown Bumpout Project Sponsors

7/19/2023

As everyone has probably noticed, the downtown bumpouts have been planted with beautiful flowers this summer. Aside from helping to manage stormwater, bumpouts also help with traffic calming, hopefully slowing vehicles down as they travel through Kirklin. The sponsors of the landscaping this year are Antique Cellar, White Lion Antiques, Lamb Farms, Greencycle of Indiana, Warren Landscape, Peyton with Platinum Landscaping, and Elite Lawn & Landscape. If you see any of those folks around, please try to remember to thank them for doing their part in helping to improve and beautify our downtown!

The end of the rainbow.....

7/19/2023

Rainbows are meteorological phenomenon caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets. They appear in the sky opposite the sun and can be either partial or full arcs. But to most, we don't think of the scientific reasons for them but instead just enjoy their beauty as we don't often see them. Children the world over delight in their magnificence. To many, they are also a sign of hope, a pot of gold or good fortune. A big shout out to the couple from Westfield who sent us these photos a couple of weeks ago while driving through Kirklin. We welcome all to come shop our quaint little antique stores, eat at our wonderful restaurant downtown, or just stop and chat awhile. We are small town with big hearts and these photos are proof that we really are the end of the rainbow!
